Reach Blackwell Cavern

From the Castigator’s Keep Beacon, use the elevator on the right to descend toward the cavern, beneath the broken bridge. Continue into the dungeon rather than looking for the weapon on top of the bridge.

Inside, cross the passage occupied by apparitions to reach the weapon. Its appearance in Proxima’s second memory is separate from obtaining the usable equipment in the world.

Consider the movement trade-off

Destructoid describes the Repeater as a high-capacity, minigun-like sidearm that sacrifices mobility. Plan when to fire and when to move instead of holding your position through an entire enemy sequence.

PowerPyx identifies an upgraded Repeater as one useful option against Hexapod. That is encounter-specific advice, not a claim that it is always the best weapon.

Unlock ranged upgrades

According to Destructoid, sidearm upgrades require the Obsidian Lathe from Martyr’s Tomb, near Widow’s Overlook. Bring it back to Franz in Marrow Keep to open the sidearm-upgrade path at the Tarforge.

Check your current upgrade screen before spending resources. The route unlocks access to upgrades; it does not supply a guaranteed endgame build by itself.

Reach Blackwell Cavern from Castigator's Keep

Start at the Castigator's Keep Beacon. Use the elevator on the right to descend below the broken bridge; Destructoid also notes that you can jump from the bridge and continue downward. Enter Blackwell Cavern instead of searching the upper bridge or the Keep itself.

Inside, cross the passage filled with apparitions to reach the pickup. No key or boss requirement is listed for this specific route. Do not substitute the Flooded Village, Damp Key, and chapel directions found in the same sidearm article: those steps belong to the Forgotten Crossbow.

Plan around firing and movement

Destructoid describes the Repeater as a minigun-like sidearm with unusually high ammunition capacity at the cost of mobility. Create a firing window instead of beginning a long burst while an enemy sequence is still approaching, and leave enough space to move after committing to the attack.

Balance Patch 1 removed the Triarch Repeater's minimum Resolve requirement to fire. Choose it for its ammunition capacity and firing pattern when those traits fit your Shell and encounter.

Unlock the sidearm-upgrade path

Travel to Martyr's Tomb near the Widow's Overlook Beacon and collect the Obsidian Lathe. Return it to Franz in Marrow Keep to enable sidearm upgrading at the Tarforge. This unlock applies to the ranged arsenal rather than only to the Triarch Repeater.

PowerPyx lists an upgraded Repeater as one useful option against Hexapod, but that is encounter-specific guidance. Upgrade decisions should still account for the sidearm you actually use, the current patch, and how often its movement commitment fits your Shell and melee setup.
