Understand the Beacon count

PowerPyx lists 49 Beacon locations, of which 46 can be cleansed. Marrow Keep, Widow’s Overlook and Outskirts of Mammon are already cleansed when found, explaining the difference from the achievement tracker.

The same guide groups Beacons by region and by the Mether’s Breath fast-travel menu. Those names are more useful for matching a route than an unlabelled screenshot.

Maps are hints, not prerequisites

Merrick in Marrow Keep sells maps that mark approximate weapon locations. You can still find the weapons without purchasing those maps.

The first two Shell search areas are marked at the start. Additional Shell hints can be bought in the Shellkeeper’s room, but discovering a Shell does not require purchasing its marker first.

Build a route around one objective

Choose a nearby Beacon and one target: a Shell, a weapon or a dungeon. For example, Proxima’s route begins northeast of Blackridge Pass and leads into Shattered Beacon.

When a guide gives a dungeon name, look for its entrance rather than expecting the item to sit on the surface map marker. The Triarch Repeater is in Blackwell Cavern beneath the broken bridge near Castigator’s Keep.

Account for the Week 1 map change

Cold Symmetry's Week 1 Update added new Beacons throughout Fainweald and Mammon. Keep those daytime additions separate from the documented launch count when following a completion route.

The new Beacons are active only during the day. If a current guide points to one and it is missing at night, change the world state before assuming the route or map marker is wrong. This day-only rule is particularly important when comparing a current save with launch-week screenshots.

The same patch fixed the map offering objectives that had already been completed and updated the open-gate icon. If an objective remains after completion, confirm the installed version and reload the current save before rebuilding an entire route around a stale marker.

Two useful landmark routes

For an early Shell, travel southeast from Widow's Overlook and search for Tiel's grave. Proxima is inside Shattered Beacon northeast of Blackridge Pass. These two searches provide useful opening alternatives without requiring a full-world checklist.

For the Triarch Repeater, begin at Castigator's Keep, descend using the elevator on the right or drop from the broken bridge, and enter Blackwell Cavern below it. The pickup is inside after an apparition-filled passage, not on the surface of the bridge marker.
